Solution for Power Crisis

KFP Saves Electricity by natural way of irrigation

power_crisis

Power required for irrigation farming is immense. According to the survey in INDIA, more than 90% of the groundwater is consumed for agriculture. Of this a large percentage of water is used on that land which requires constant irrigation.

Just have a look at the power-saving capacity of KFP

  • 1 KFP structure harvests more than 8000 cu mtr water annually in 1 hectare farm, from 1000 mm average rainfall
  • 2/3rd of this water (i.e. approx 5000 cu mtr) is available to crop as moisture in top 4 meters soil without any irrigation power.

Power required for irrigation (where water is either lifted from bore well or transported from 2-3 km distant irrigation tanks)
1 hectare farm with 5000 cu mtr of water     -    1500kwh @ 0.3 unit / cu mtr

Annual power required to irrigate mini watershed zone of
500 hectare farm with 2.5 million (25 lakhs) cu mtr water is    -     0.75 (7.5 lakhs) million units .

Thus annual power saved using KFP in mini watershed zone of 500 hectare will be
0.75 million units
